a few weeks ago I had the honor of taking photos of one of the most amazing woman ever..I won’t ramble on about how totally amazing she was to my daughter or how how I will hold the whole experience close to my heart forever, I will just share a few photos from that day. I haven’t posted in a while and am due for a big update very soon…but first, her…e are some photos of Emily Valentine from the other day..You may have seen her on the Voice and American Idol..She’s talented, beautiful and sweet..I enjoyed working with her. <3

This is Black Mariah @BlackMariahDLS ,  we started working together a few months before I moved to LA…I loved working with her..I thought she was great, charming and oh so sweet..Did I mention beautiful?

There is a lot of drama in the pinup and burlesque world, but I think what keeps me shooting is when I can make someone feel beautiful or make a friend out of it..I think I did both with her.

I also love that in pin up and burlesque is that you don’t have to be a size 0 to do it..I like my girls to eat before they come shoot, they will feel better and have better photos.

We got to see Joan Jett live  for the first time ever tonight, not only did we get front row center, we got to meet her…A total dream come true for my daughter(me too). She was down to earth and so super nice to my little girl..They shared a sweet moment together my daughter will never ever forget.

My daughter and I HAD to do the NOH8 photos, but the stubborn photographer in me had to be in charge of the whole shoot..lol.

We’ve been living in Hollywood CA now for almost two months and I can’t imagine ever living anywhere else..This town is crazy, but I love it! It’s a great change from the quiet, all work no play life I was living..We’ve been all over the place and I think the second week we were here we ended up on TV ( I will post photos another time)..I can honestly say, I’ve never been happier..All I need now is a steady income and a new thyroid and everything will be perfect. I’m starting to really believe that everything happens for a reason, and right now all the hell we’ve been through in the past is just that, the past..I’m excited for us..I’m excited for our future..I don’t ever want to leave here..Lacey and I are so happy in our new home, she actually starts High school on Sept 7th..I thought for sure at this age she wouldn’t want to hangout with her mom, but she gets jealous if I want to go out without her..It’s cute and I hope it never ends. <3
